Time of arrival
You will be able to check in to your holiday apartment from 4 PM. Read more under “Keys”, if you arrive late at night
Time of departure
On the day of your departure, we ask that you leave the holiday apartment no later than 9 AM, so that we can prepare the apartment for the next guests.
Arrival days
In the period June 23 - July 28, Sunday is the arrival/departure day. In other periods, you can basically freely choose the arrival day of the week. In some periods, due to the other bookings at Store Strandhus, however, there may be restrictions on the choice of arrival day. As a rule, you don't need to rent for whole weeks either. It gives you the opportunity to put together the holiday according to your choice, just as you can choose to travel on the cheapest ferry days. The cheapest ferry days are usually Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Baby package
You can rent a baby package consisting of: High chair, crib, stroller (sturdy umbrella stroller with a canopy, where the backrest can be fully reclined), changing pad, and bathtub. We kindly ask you to reserve the baby package when you make your booking.
Bus to Østre Sømark and Store Strandhus
The bus stop is located approximately 1 kilometer from the summerhouse. The schedule for all bus routes on Bornholm can be found here: bat.dk.
Cleaning
A holiday must be a holiday! That is why we make sure to clean your holiday home on arrival/departure - so you are always sure that the holiday home is properly cleaned on your arrival, and you are free from the work of cleaning yourself before your departure. When you order through us, cleaning is always included in your rental price. You therefore do not have to pay extra for the cleaning. On your departure, we therefore kindly ask you to ensure that the furniture is in its place, the kitchenware is cleaned, and any waste is handed over to the area's environmental station.
Dogs
You are allowed to bring a dog to Store Strandhus. If you are bringing your 4-legged friend, please inform us of this when making your booking at the holiday home. Due to the extra cleaning that we have to do, it costs EUR 48 per 1-2 dogs to bring your dog. It is easy to bring your dog with you to Bornholm - even if you are traveling via Sweden. Please just remember to meet the requirements of the Swedish customs authorities. Normally, the rules for importing animals into Sweden are restrictive. However, the rules are very relaxed when you are "just" passing through on your way to Bornholm. Read more here: Bringing pets on holiday
Duvets and bed linen
There are duvets and pillows in the holiday home. Bed linen and towels are therefore the only thing you must bring yourself. Alternatively, you can rent a linen package, consisting of sheets, pillow and duvet covers as well as a large and a small towel, for 22 EUR per person. Please remember to pre-order if you want to rent bed linen/towels.
Freezing opportunities
The summerhouse has a large freezer of 300 litres available.
Grill
There is a grill at your disposal at Store Strandhus, which you can use freely. Please note that you must clean the grill yourself after use.
Internet
There is free wireless internet at Store Strandhus. Transmission strength may vary. If you need to use the internet connection for work-related matters, we therefore recommend that you bring your own mobile broadband. If the network does not function optimally, this does not provide a basis for financial compensation. You will find the code for the internet in your holiday apartment.
Keys
When we send you your holiday confirmation, we will also inform you of how to get the key to your holiday home. It works easily - and it's no problem if you arrive late at night.
Kitchen appliances
Store Strandhus has a fully equipped industrial kitchen with kitchenware for 60 people. You do not need to bring your own kitchenware.
Parking
You can easily park right next to Store Strandhus.
Smoking
Smoking is not allowed indoor at Store Strandhus.
Shopping
Dagli' Brugsen in Pedersker is the closest grocery store (approximately 3,3 kilometers from the summerhouse). The town Aakirkeby is located around 10 minutes drive from the summerhouse. Here you will find a large selection of grocery stores - hereof Netto, Super Brugsen and Spar.
Payment terms
We ask that you make a deposit of 25% of the total fee, no more than 10 days after receiving your order confirmation. We ask that you pay the residual sum no later than 45 days prior to your arrival. If you have made your reservation less than 45 days before your arrival, we ask that you pay the fee in full, the day after receiving your order confirmation.
Power and water consumption
Power- and water consumption is included in your rentail price.
Washing machine
Yes there is a washing machine and a dryer at Store Strandhus, which you can use free of charge.
Tea towels, toilet paper and more
Upon your arrival, there is a tea towel, dish cloth and a starting supply of toilet paper in your houseboat. If you need more, you must bring/purchase this yourself.
