Stay at an award-winning sustainable hotel

Green and Good 

You will experience a world of new green and sustainable solutions, when you stay at the four starred hotel "Green Solution House" in Rønne. Following an extensive rebuild, HRH Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark inaugurated the ”new” green and sustainable hotel in 2015. Since then, the hotel has become more and more popular among both leisure- and business travellers. Green Solution House – often times referred to as Hotel GSH – has won many awards for its organic and sustainable operations, for example, the European Union’s environmental award, and the title as Build of the Year in Denmark. In 2021 The Guardian elected Green Solution House as "1 one of 10 best environmental places to stay in Europe".

Look forward to experiencing the new room wing, which was inaugurated in fall 2021. The beautiful rooms are built in sustainable recycled wood - and sustainability is thought of in everything. For example, the wood that has been cut out for door holes has been transformed into a nice desk in the rooms.

The hotel has a lovely location. You are close to the city. The forest is right in front of you - and if you walk a couple hundred meters along the forest paths you will soon arrive to at lovely sandy beach, which is just one of the island's hidden gems. 

Hand in hand

Following a delicious dinner, take your loved one by the hand. Take a romantic walk through the park-like gardens, or walk the 300 meters through the woods, to the beach in front of Hotel GSH. Dip your toes in the warm sand, and enjoy the sunset right in front of you.

Restaurant
Look forward to the delicious ecological morning buffet at Hotel GSH, which is included in your room rate. The restaurant has the Organic Cuisine Label in silver. If you fancy a delicious dinner, then in the summer you can walk the approximately 500 meters along the forest paths to Fredensborg Badehotels, where you will be spoiled with delicious food. If you visit outside the summer, Restaurant G is a really good choice.

Enjoy the view from the new roof terrace where you can cozy up in the lounge furniture or relax in the spa bath and the sauna. If you fancy a refreshment, you can enjoy the cooled water from the outdoor shower or the tilting bucket. It is of course possible to shower both before and after using the facilities in the private shower rooms on the roof terrace.

Please be aware that you must be at least 16 years old to use the spa bath and sauna. You need to make reservations for using the spa area. You can make reservations in the reception.

The rooms at Green Solution House are large. Therefore there is plenty of opportunity to make an extra bedding:
* 0-2 years old: Free (based that the child sleeping in the parents' bed)
* 3-12 years old: DKK 200,- per night including breakfast
* +12 years: DKK 500,- per night including breakfast

Holiday that benefits the environment

The new parts of Green Solution House are, among other things, built according to the cradle-to-cradle principle. This means that all building materials must be easily disassembled and used in future constructions. In this way, the world's raw materials are saved. The parts of the old buildings that had to be demolished in connection with the hotel's reconstruction have been reused in the new building - and the old double-glazed windows have been remelted and used as insulation material in other buildings. The hotel's waste is converted into nutritious fertilizer via a special incineration plant, which benefits the hotel's vegetable garden. There are solar cells in the terrace glass in your room - thus the building generates its own electricity. Experience even more fun details for yourself when you visit Green Solution House.

Safety-Guarantee
The world has become unpredictable. At Green Solution House you can book your stay with a Safety-Guarantee, which ensures that you can cancel your holiday for free if you still do not want to travel. You do not have to state a reason and you can cancel up to 30 days before your arrival. The price is just EUR 41,- per holiday home.
