Arrival days
As a rule, there are no set days for arrival or departure. As such, you are able to plan your holiday completely according to your own wishes – and you can choose to travel on the days when the ferry is cheapest. Usually, the ferry is cheapest on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Thursdays.
Time of arrival
You will be able to check in to your holiday apartment from 3 PM. Read more under “Keys”.
Time of departure
On the day of your departure, we ask that you leave the holiday apartment no later than 10 AM, so that we can prepare the apartment for the next guests.
Baby package
You can rent a baby package consisting of: High chair, crib, stroller (sturdy umbrella stroller with a canopy, where the backrest can be fully reclined), changing pad, and bathtub. We kindly ask you to reserve the baby package when you make your booking. You should pick up the baby package at the reception upon your arrival, and we ask you to return the equipment to the reception at your departure.
Booking more than one apartment
If you wish to book more than one apartment, all you have to do is book one apartment, and make a note in the comment section, of how many apartments you would like to book. We will take care of your reservation manually. Of course, you are always welcome to call us on (+45) 56 95 85 66.
Hypoallergenic apartments
All apartments at Gudhjem Holiday Park are non-smoking. If you have a pet allergy, you can choose to stay in one of the pet-free apartments. Please inform us of your allergy when making your reservation, and we will book you into one of the hypoallergenic apartments. None of our pillows or duvets are stuffed with down, so an allergy to down will not be a problem.
Bus
If you wish to take to bus to Gudhjem Holiday Park the bus stop is approximately 250 meters from Gudhjem Holiday Park. The schedule for all bus routes on Bornholm can be found here: bat.dk.
Bicycle rental
You can rent bicycles in the reception. Please book your bicycles one day in advance. The prices per bike (3/7 gears and Mountain Bike) is:
* 1 day: 85 DKK
* 2 days: 170 DKK
* 3 days: 225 DKK
* 4 days: 280 DKK
* 5 days: 335 DKK
* 6 days: 390 DKK
* 1 week: 445 DKK (Ekstra day +40 DKK)
You also have the option of renting tandem bicycles, bicycles with child trailers and E-Bike, as well as accessories for the bicycles such as bicycle baskets, child seats, bicycle helmets and bicycle lights. You will be informed of the prices for this by contacting the reception upon your arrival. Please note that there may be a limited supply of these bike types.
Cleaning
A holiday is a holiday! We take care of the cleaning prior to your arrival and following your departure, so that you can rest easy knowing that you will arrive at a clean apartment, and you will not have to worry about cleaning before your departure. When you book your holiday with us, cleaning is always included in your fee, and there will be no extra cleaning charges. On your departure, we ask that you have placed all of your rubbish in the bin bag, and that you have washed the dishes.
Charging for electric cars
Gudhjem Holiday Park has to chargers for electric cars (type 2 chargers). You can purchase a 55kWh charging card in the reception.
Disability access
The holiday apartments in Gudhjem Holiday Park are, unfortunately, not designed for people with physical disabilities, as the bedrooms are located on the first floor. Please contact us on phone +45 56 95 85 66 for advice and guidance if you need a holiday home more suitable for people with physical disabilities.
Dishtowel, toilet paper, etc.
Upon your arrival, you will find a dishtowel, dishcloth, and a start-up inventory of toilet paper and kitchen towels, in your holiday apartment. Should you require extra, we ask that you bring, or purchase, this yourself.
Duvets / Bed linen
There are duvets and pillows in the apartment. Bed linen and towels are therefore the only thing you must bring yourself. Alternatively, you can rent a linen package, consisting of sheets, pillow and duvet covers as well as a large and a small towel, for 22 EUR per person. Remember to pre-order if you want to rent bed linen / towels.
Electric cars
Gudhjem Holiday Park has two charging stations for electric cars (type 2 charging stations). You can buy charging cards with 55 kWh at the reception.
Free access to Gudhjem Indoor Swimming Pool in 2023
Although Gudhjem Holiday Park is close to Melsted Badebugt's lovely bathing area, there may be days in spring and late summer when it is more fun to stay indoors. Therefore, as a guest in Gudhjem Holiday Park, you have free access to Gudhjem Swimming Pool in 2023, which is just 850 meters from Gudhjem Holiday Park.
Grill
All the holiday homes in Gudhjem Holiday Park are owned by individual private persons, where some have a barbecue for their holiday home, while other owners have not wanted a barbecue in the holiday home. We therefore cannot guarantee that there is a grill at your holiday home - but if there is not one, you are always welcome to bring your own grill if you wish to grill. Just remember to consider the neighbors when you grill. Please note that you must clean the grill yourself after use.
Grocery shopping
The supermarket Dagli'Brugsen is located just 100 meters from Gudhjem Holiday Park.
Internet
All apartments in Gudhjem Holiday Park have wireless internet access. The connection speed may vary depending on the number of simultaneous users. If you need to use the internet for work purposes, we recommend that you bring your own mobile connection. Slow or faulty internet connection will not be grounds for financial compensation.
Iron and ironing board
You can borrow an iron and an ironing board in the reception.
Kitchenware
The holiday apartments in Gudhjem Holiday Park all have well equipped kitchens – including dinnerware for 6 people.
Keys
You can collect your key in the reception. We will send more information about key collection with your final booking confirmation, in case you arrive outside the reception’s opening hours.
Parking
Of course, you can enjoy free parking at Gudhjem Holiday Park. The holiday homes are located between 10 and 100 meters from the parking lot. If you have specific preferences as to the location of your house, please let us know when making your reservation.
Pets
Dogs and cats are very welcome at Gudhjem Holiday Park, as we have a row of houses specifically for guests with pets. An extra cleaning fee of EUR 48 will be charged for bringing your four-legged friend. If you bring 3 dogs, or more, the fee is EUR 96. It is quite easy to bring your dog or cat to Bornholm, as long as you live up to the requirements from the Swedish Custom’s Agency. Read more about bringing your pet to Bornholm here.
Swimming pool
As a guest at Gudhjem Holiday Park, you can use the beautiful pool for free. The chlorine content and filters in the swimming pool ensure that any bacteria and viruses are removed, so that you and your family can safely swim in the pool during your stay.
Tennis court
You can rent access to the nearby tennis court by contacting the reception at Gudhjem Søpark, which is 50 meters from Gudhjem Holiday Park.
The prices are:
* Court rental DKK 50
* Racket rental DKK 30.
Terms of payment
We ask that you make a deposit of 25% of the total fee, no more than 10 days after receiving your order confirmation. We ask that you pay the residual sum no later than 45 days prior to your arrival. If you have made your reservation less than 45 days before your arrival, we ask that you pay the fee in full, the day after receiving your order confirmation.
Washing machine and dryer
If you need to do laundry, you can rent a washing machine and tumble dryer in Gudhjem Holiday Park(for a small fee per wash/tumble). The laundry room is adjacent to the reception.
